Zink Privacy Notice & Job-Matching Consent

Zink Creative Pty Ltd ("Zink", "we", "us", "our") operates the Zink platform (the Platform) a tool that helps creatives (including photographers, videographers and creative teams) manage projects, collaborate, and access job opportunities.

2. What this notice covers
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you:
- Create a Zink account
- Use the Platform and its features
- Choose whether to opt in to job-matching
3. What personal information we collect
Information you provide
- Name, email address, role, location
- Portfolio details or profile information
- Job-matching preferences
- Content you upload including photos, videos, documents, or project materials
- Any additional information you choose to include
Automatically collected data
- Usage data (how you interact with the Platform)
- Device and browser information
- Log and analytics data
4. Why we collect your personal information & how we use it
We use your information to:
Provide and manage your account
- Create and maintain your account
- Provide Platform features and tools
- Personalise your experience
- Suggest relevant features or creative opportunities
Job-Matching (only if you opt in)
- Process role, location and profile information
- Send job opportunities matched to your skills
Security & compliance
- Detect fraud or misuse
- Maintain the integrity of the Platform
- Comply with legal obligations
5. Job-Matching: Opt-in consent
When registering or in your account settings, you may choose:
"Would you like to be searchable for Zink jobs?"
- ☐ Yes, I'd like to receive relevant job-opportunities.
- ☐ No, thank you.
By selecting "Yes," you give Zink permission to process your role, location and profile details for job-matching.
You may withdraw consent at any time through your settings or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing completed before your withdrawal.
6. Who we share your data with
If you opt in to job-matching:
- We may share limited profile information (role, location, portfolio link) with clients/collaborators searching for creatives like you.
- We may use third-party providers to enable the job-matching service.
We will never:
- Sell your personal information
- Share more information than is required for the service
7. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your home region (including Australia, the UK, EU, and others). Where required, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are used.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. If you withdraw job-matching consent, we will stop matching you to opportunities and delete or anonymise related data when no longer needed.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
- Withdraw job-matching consent at any time
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request data portability
- Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority
10. Rights to Creative Content
You retain full ownership and copyright of all creative content you upload or share on the Platform. This includes photos, videos, project files, text, audio, and any other creative material.
- Zink does not claim ownership of your creative work.
- You grant Zink only the limited rights required to operate the Platform such as storing your files, displaying them in your projects, or enabling client collaboration.
- These rights are non-exclusive, revocable, and restricted solely to Platform functionality.
- We will never sell, license, or commercially exploit your creative content.
11. Use of Creative Content in Marketing
Zink will never use your creative content for marketing purposes without your explicit permission. This includes:
- Social media posts
- Website features
- Case studies
- Promotional materials
- Advertisements
If we ever wish to feature your work, we will ask you directly and obtain clear written consent. No consent = no use.
12. AI Training & Automated Data Use
Zink does not use your creative content or personal data to train any internal or third-party artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
This includes all forms of user generated content:
- Photos
- Videos
- Project files
- Chat or message content
- Metadata
- Client information
13. Connected Meta accounts
If you choose to connect a WhatsApp Business account, Facebook Page, or Instagram Professional account, Zink uses the account and business asset information permitted by Meta to provide the integration features you select. This may include asset identifiers, account names, granted permissions, message content, and message delivery events.
Zink stores access credentials encrypted on the server and does not expose them in the browser. We do not use a connected Instagram account to extract a general follower or following list.
You can disconnect a Meta account from Settings > Integrations. Disconnecting stops new access through that connection. You may also follow our Meta data deletion instructions.
WhatsApp messages are sent only for purposes allowed by Meta and applicable law. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it using the method provided when you opted in or by contacting Zink.
